Do you know About Our Planet?

#Facts about the Earth#

Earth is our home. It is home to many not just humans along but plants, animals and other organisms who live this earth. But there are many things that we do not know about the earth.

Planet Earth

Earth is the third planet from the Sun. The Earth is the only planet in our solar system not to be named after a Greek or Roman deity. The Earth was formed approximately 4.54 billion years ago and is the only known planet to support life.

Friends! You will not know some things related to the earth. We are going to tell you such things related to the earth, which you have never heard of before.

1. The day was not always 24 hours.

Now I ask you how many hours there in a day are, then you will say that there are 24 hours. This is a simple question, but friends were not always like this. About six crores years ago, there used to be only 21 hours and 54 minutes in 1 day, in fact, due to the tidal waves of the moon, sun and other planets coming into the sea there is a slight change in the Earth's orbit and in 100 years The time of one day decreases by 1.7 milliseconds.

2. Increased heat!

Friends, the heat on Earth is constantly increasing. Scientists believe that from today on wards 100 million years later, our Sun will be 10% brighter and warmer than today. After 400 crores, the heat will increase so much that the sea water will turn into steam. After 4.5 hundred million years, the Earth will turn into a big desert like Mars and the sun will have taken such a terrible form that perhaps Mercury, Venus and our moon will be over.

3. Earth is not completely round.

Since childhood we have been taught that the Earth is round, but friends you might not know that the Earth is not completely round. It is slightly flattened on its poles, or it can be said that it is slightly more rounded in the middle. In fact, the Earth rotates on its orbit towards the equator at such a speed that the shape of the earth has become as if the ball was hit with force.

4. Tallest Mountain:

do you know? Mount Everest is the tallest mountain on earth because the height of the mountain is measured from the sea level. If we measure the height from the womb of the Earth, Mount Chimborazo is the highest mountain.

5.Orbit and Rotation

The Earth makes a complete rotation on its axis once every 23.9 hours. It takes Earth 265,25 days to complete one trip around the Sun – year. For calendars to maintain their consistency with this orbit, every 4 years one day is added – this is called a leap day – as well as a leap year.

6. Earth’s surface is covered in water

When astronauts first went into the space, they looked back at the Earth with human eyes for the first time and called our home the Blue Planet. And it’s no surprise. 70% of our planet is covered with oceans. The remaining 30% is the solid ground, rising above sea level.
Only 3% water of the earth is fresh, rest 97% salted. Of that 3%, over 2% is frozen in ice sheets and glaciers. Means less than 1% fresh water is found in lakes, rivers and underground.
